Vintage dresser with dovetail joints.

This antique dresser was in a sorry state and it’s transformation is a testament to the power of colour and paint. At one point it had been painted an olive green and then someone attempted to paint over the green with white. I envisioned using blue and grey. So, I painted a rich blue colour on the drawers and then the rest of the dresser was painted in a light grey. I used a technique to allow the blue tones to show through the grey, giving it a multi layered look. The mirror was painted in the same blue colour as the drawers and then attached to the top. New shiny knobs were put on the first two drawers and then funky two tone colour knobs were added to the bottom two drawers. I am showing the before picture so you can see the difference.
